Jared Leto proved his acting skills to a doubtless peak in Requiem for a Dream where he played an extremely convincing heroin addict. The question that slaps me in the face is: should he also be branching out as a musician?

The first answer that stabs me in the eye is “most certainly not….never….has the man lost his mind?” His band, 30 Seconds To Mars, is one big emo-factory in my opinion and it’s only salvation is the philosophy behind their new album, “This is War”:

“This record suggests that there’s only one choice, and that is to fight for and follow your dreams. This is a very short and delicate life and there’s no choice but to take full advantage of it.”

Perhaps Jared should make a film about it rather than torture us with his music. I know everybody in the entire world wants to be in a band but just because you’re famous and very pretty doesn’t mean you should.

For all the frantic Jared fans out there, don’t fret and become defensive, let’s be objective about this.
